This Saturday's farmers' market will feature a cooking demo by a local favorite! Leonel Rosario and Dolores Alvarado from Mariachi de Oro will demonstrate and have samples of vegetarian Mexican snacks (Antojitos Vegetales). Included will be guacamole, pico de gallo, and salsa tabiche, three sauces using fresh tomatoes, onions, garlic, chiles and cilantro. Also on the menu, will be potato flautas, a freshly-made corn tortilla with potato filling, fried golden brown. For a beverage, they will prepare horchata, a cold drink made from rice, water, condensed milk, fruits and spices.
The Canal Village Farmers' Market occurs every Saturday through October, from 8:00AM to 1:00PM at 127 West Center Street at West Avenue, Medina.
